QSR Magazine: For Fazoli's, the Momentum Isn't Close to Slowing Down

The franchise is catching the eyes of prospects with a fresh new look, clean menu and high return on investment.

Fazoli's has been enjoying a long and consistent growth pattern. According to a recent article in QSR Magazine, the brand has reported that 87 out the last 91 months have followed an upward trajectory. This consistent success follows years of struggle for the brand, as it once watched same-store sales drop dramatically for a multi-year period.

The brand is currently in the process of updating its restaurants. This update involves a more streamlined menu where artificial flavors and preservatives have been eliminated. By taking this step, the brand has been able to reach and appeal to more health-conscious consumers.

The redesign also includes a modernized aesthetic for restaurants. Stores featuring the new look have already seen a boost in sales close to 10 percent. The brand is confident that with some further work, this percent will become higher and offer a greater return for franchisees.

The franchise has recently signed agreements to bring new restaurants to Georgia, Michigan, Alabama and Oregon. Eight new locations are projected to open within the first two quarters of the year.

“The great thing for us is we’re seeing the new franchisees we sign are making money, they’re seeing their return on investment and they’re looking to do another one. We really have the model right, right now,” said CEO Carl Howard.
