Atomic Wings Launches New Chicken Sandwich With Promotion to Give Back to New York Hospital Staff

Atomic Wings CEO Zak Omar told Cheddar about the brand’s plans to give back to hospital workers in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Atomic Wings recently launched its new chicken sandwich, but it’s how the brand is giving back that’s making headlines.

According to Cheddar, the New York-based wing franchise offered free fried chicken sandwiches to hospital workers for every chicken sandwich bought on the product’s launch day earlier this year. Atomic Wings CEO, Zak Omar, offered insight into the promotion and discussed why giving back to first responders during this time is so important.

“I know a lot of people have been going through some rough times, our nurses, doctors and hospital workers especially and they threw themselves to the frontlines,” Omar told Cheddar. “They’ve been taking care of us, not knowing if they would get sick themselves, and they’ve been out here doing their jobs. Without them who knows how much worse this could’ve been.”
