Atomic Wings, the 15-unit brand specializing in New York-style Buffalo wings, has always aimed to provide franchisees with the most reliable path to entrepreneurial success. That is why the company prioritizes in-depth and comprehensive franchisee support every step of the way, from their involvement at the store level to their on-going training that is leveraged through a robust technology platform.

“As we continue to welcome new franchisees into our system, we do a lot of hand-holding, whether it be helping with their lease, construction package, P&Ls, vendor lists, brand guidelines, equipment requirements or marketing strategies,” said Atomic Wings CEO Zak Omar. Our corporate team has over 60 years of QSR experience and we sit down one-on-one with each owner to help them get their business off the ground.”

For example, this quarter saw Atomic Wings partner with Buxton, a real estate data company, to help franchisees analyze top-performing locations and identify ideal areas for future expansion. This strategic approach to growth ensures franchisees can confidently open new locations with a strong potential for success.

The company is also launching its Atomic Wings 2.0 remodel program later this year, featuring a completely fresh look that stays true to its New York roots. The updated design, which was created in partnership with an industry-leading firm, includes a dedicated station for pickup orders in response to the increased demand for third-party delivery services, as well as a new logo, lighting and seating.

"Our new remodel sets Atomic Wings apart in the industry, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere for friends and family to enjoy," Omar said. "The updated design is not only visually appealing but also streamlines the ordering process, providing an enhanced experience for both customers and franchisees."

But perhaps one of the impressive aspects of the brand’s support infrastructure comes throughout its technology suite. This year alone, Atomic Wings has introduced a new mobile app, for example, featuring the brand's first loyalty and rewards program, as well as a redesigned website and a new POS platform.

“It is all about driving more people to our restaurants, whether that be through stronger SEO, a great mobile app or anything else,” said Omar. “We realize that a lot of our consumers frequent our restaurants and our loyalty program allows them to earn rewards and join our community. Every franchisee has scanners to help folks sign up for the app, and they have POP material all over the store.”

For franchise owners behind the scenes, Atomic Wings has also rolled out its new online training platform, which includes video tutorials, employee guides and more. “Franchisees will be able to access all of those tools right in the restaurant,” said Omar. “We also have another proprietary site that gives franchise owners the ability to purchase posters, uniforms and any other marketing materials.”

Overall, Omar says Atomic Wings may be a smaller franchise, but the team punches way over their heads when it comes to support.

“Only the best for our franchise owners,” said Omar. “As people start seeing us around the nation, we're going to get more inquiries. Most of our growth has been word-of-mouth and people coming into our restaurants. Our goal is to capture this momentum and continue.”
